It makes more swarmy commanders (Zagara, Stukov, etc) disgustingly overpowered. Guardian Shell is hands down THE best support ability in the game.
Guardian Shell is disabled.ĪNY prestige that disables “Guardian Shell” is absolutely WORTHLESS. Shield Overcharge is now targeted, has its cooldown reduced by 50% and costs 25 energy. Orbital Strikes warp in an Unbound Fanatic that throws off damaging energy and lasts 15 seconds.
I personally felt like using this prestige made my army less mobile, not more. The problem is that the cost of 10 energy seems like not such a big deal at first, but on maps which require you to stay mobile, like Mist Opportunities, you are going to run out of energy even if you are invested 30 mastery points into spear mastery, so you can’t use strikes and overcharges too often. The only good part is that the Warp-In Speed Mastery Bonus is reapplied every time you teleport your forces. Right away the teleportation part is useless, because Artanis is already has amazing mobility where you can simply project the power field with 30 sec cooldown and warp in 15 dragoons anywhere you need them.
